UFC Odds Prediction: Johnny Walker (-137) vs. Ryan Spann (+110)
Any fight involving Johnny Walker should be considered a must-watch, never mind when it means him going up against a talent who’s unbeaten in eight fights like Ryan Spann is.
Now, only the last four bouts in Spann’s current unbeaten run occurred in the UFC, and a couple of those were against questionable opponents. For example, his last outing saw him hand veteran Sam Alvey his fourth straight loss (via split decision), while he knocked Antonio “Lil Nog” Nogueira out in the first round when they met in May 2019.
That’s not to discredit Spann’s achievements, but more so to explain how he could still be a +110 underdog with Sugarhouse to beat Walker, who has lost his last two fights in a row.
The Brazilian was knocked out by Corey Anderson in November and suffered a deserved decision defeat to Nikita Krylov this past March. However, he’s since taken a more concentrated approach to his training with SBG Ireland in Dublin (the gym where former UFC star Conor McGregor started his career):

Walker can prove himself worthy of a -137 billing if he stays focused and stands up against Spann. A finish is always a possibility with Walker, though it wouldn’t be a surprise to see him look to assert his dominance over three rounds in a bid to get his light heavyweight career back on track.
