Live betting is the same as in-play betting. Bovada was one of the first sites to introduce live betting. It allows the bettor to make a wager on the game while it is in progress. Now the bettor should be careful, because the lines are going to change by the second as that game progresses and will either increase or decrease depending on the flow of the game.
In-play betting, or “live’’ betting is relatively new to the betting world. And while it’s enticing, it is something bettors should do with extreme caution. What in-play betting does is gives the bettor a chance to makes bets while the game is in progress. For example in the NFL, if the Philadelphia Eagles are playing the New York Giants and the closing line has the Eagles favored by six points that line will change as the game progresses on in-line, or “live’’ betting. It would all be based on how the game is going and which teams takes early control. If the Eagles jump ahead to a 14-0 lead, the line will jump up several points to reflect that 14-point difference.
Now, the question is do you bet the Eagles and think they will continue to score and win by even more than six? Or do you think the Giants are going to come back and take the generous point spread, which could be as much as 10 at that point? On the other side, should the underdog Giants take the lead, the line would drop to reflect that as well. And again you have a choice to make. Do you think the Giants are going to pull off the upset? Or do you think the Eagles are going come back to win? Some bettors like this because it gives them a chance to “get even’’ if they are losing their pre-game bet. But in the long run more bettors end up losing more when they try that strategy.
We don't recommend offshore bookmakers. You can do live-betting at BetAmerica legal sportsbook.
