Detroit Horse Racing Betting Tracks Promotions

While there are no horse racing tracks that offer thoroughbred racing in the city of Detroit or even all of Michigan, there are talks of bringing a track back to the state. This comes with the Sports Creek Racing track. Along with the possible construction of a new track, there are options for off-track betting in the city as well as placing bets online. In the section below we will discuss Sports Creek Racing as well as an off-track betting site available for people in Detroit.

Sports Creek Racing

On Fridays and Saturdays between the months of June and September, Sports Creek located in Swartz Creek Michigan will be reopening and hosting 26 live thoroughbred racing events. The first since the closure of Hazel Park Raceway. The track in Swartz Creek has been closed since 2015; however, after the latest purchase plans from the Delaware based AmRace & Sports LLC, thoroughbred racing will be back and ready for action as soon as next racing season. Simulcasting will also be available for those who attend the track, and Michigan horse racing fans have never been more excited!

Northville Downs

The Northville Downs is the only open horse racing track open in the state of Michigan. The track offers only harness racing, and thoroughbreds do not race at this location. However, simulcasting and off-track betting is available at Northville Downs and will be an excellent location to place bets on thoroughbred racing at the newest horse track opening in Swartz Creek.
