David Stearns was first a poker professional, then a card dealer, and eventually a casino manager. After winning one of the tournaments, which at that point was the highest-paid prize in California, he decided to open a casino himself. His wife Theresa, once known as the best casino dealer at the Commerce Casino, today she is still in this industry as a trainer for new dealers and hostesses.
