What to Know: After three straight seasons of 5-11, 5-11 and 4-12, the Jets might finally be trending upward. The team has made some good draft picks recently and signed two key free agents in March. Running back Le’Veon Bell on offense and linebacker C.J. Mosley on defense should bolster both sides of the ball for the Jets. They also fired head coach Todd Bowles and hired Adam Gase, who had been with their rival Miami Dolphins.
Best Players: Quarterback Sam Darnold, in his second year, is being counted on for big things. The Jets spent the No. 3 pick in the draft in 2018 to acquire him and take them back to the playoffs. Bell, after sitting out last season, might be rusty, but should also be well rested and ready for a big season.
How to Bet: If the Jets are underdogs early in the season they could be worth a few wagers. This team could be one of the season’s surprises.
