When Will Bally’s Launch Sportsbook App?
While no official announcement has been made on a date when Bally's sports betting app will go live, Bally’s originally projected a second-quarter launch in 2021. There is one clue out there that might offer more than a hint of when Bally’s expects to be operational in the online sports wagering game.
Sinclair will officially rebrand all of its Fox Sports regional sports television networks to Bally’s Sports as of March 31st, just in time for the first pitches of MLB’s opening day. Bally’s is paying Sinclair $85 million to put its name on their 21 regional sports networks which cover 88 U.S. markets and 4,500 games a year. It’s hard to imagine that Bally’s will want to waste all of the free marketing and promotion this will generate nationwide, so it’s likely that they’ll be out with their sports betting app in time to take advantage of this opportunity.
Bally’s also acquired Bet.Works during the spending spree for $125 million. This move gives them control of their own software platform, enabling Bally’s to develop its own app. It also means that when they launch their sports betting app, they won’t need to share any of their profits with an outside entity.

Over the past five months, Bally’s has inked a deal with Sinclair to be the brand name on the television network’s wide ranging regional sports networks. They’ve acquired several casinos and now own 14 different brick and mortar casino properties across 10 states, all of which already are home to legal sports betting.
As well, Bally’s also reached deals with the NHL, MLB and NBA to become an authorized sports betting operator for each league.
