England vs. South Africa May 30 Preview
For cricket fans, it does not get better than this.
Just three weeks after the end of a sensational IPL season, the 2019 Cricket World Cup begins Thursday in London, with the host team England getting the festivities started.
England will play host to South Africa, and the betting odds provided by 888 Sport have much of the action in favor of the hosts.
While the money line has England as a heavy favorite at -230, there are some proposition bets that look interesting.
The money line for highest team opening partnership has England at -139, with the South African side at +110. The highest total for 15 overs moves even more toward the English team, at -177, with South Africa at +140.
The line on total opening partnership for the home team is set at 37.5, with the line the same on the over or under at -114. The total opening partnership for the visiting team is set at five runs less, at 32.5, with the same -114 applied.
That same -114 can be had for the over/under number for highest individual score in the match, which has been set at 110.5.
The individual lines to score a half-century might have some value if you are a fan of South Africa, with Quinton de Kock +125, and Faf de Plessis +150. If you think either will score a century, you can back de Kock at +500, and du Plessis at +900.
England vs. South Africa May 30 Prediction
England’s Joe Root is the lowest odds for both, at +120 to score 50 and +450 to score 100.
As with most sports, 888 Sport will have live betting as well on the event.
